SUBWAY DOUCHERY : I Saw The Sign
Prologue: For the few of you that don’t know, “FML” is a commonly used abbreviation for “Fuck my life.” So well known, it’s been used in films and there is a very popular website dedicated to it: http://www.FMyLife.com
The Meat: I’m not saying that it is the MTA’s duty to be down with internet chat abbreviation lingo. I also understand that replacing the V line with the M line was probably a logical choice…. BUT… someone…. somewhere.. within the MTA had to know it would be hilarious to have giant signs reading “FML PATH” or the “Fuck My Life PATH”. Instead of explaining the meaning to the decision makers, this person chose to keep their mouth shut and give an encouraging nod that read, “I think it would be fabulous idea!”
The Fuck My Life Path sign can be suitable for so many morning commutes as the huddled masses scratch and claw their way to work. But now, for those of you that take the F,M,L, or PATH trains, you can look up on those lousy days and know that the MTA inadvertently has a sense of humor. Perhaps a smile will come to your face and the hangover with crippling depression won’t feel as bad!
*** The Douchery Inbox received this bad boy numerous times & would like to thank all of you for looking out! But Kseniya got ‘er in there first! Thank you! As always keep your chins held high & Keep on Douchin’ ***
